Since 2004, Tierra Madre Nature Tours has guided travellers to the heart of the Guatemalan subtropical rainforest where Departments Alta VeraPaz (Coban), Izabal (Caribbean), and Peten meet. The all inclusive tour packages (for all ages & abilities) explore the beauty of this region and touch the warm spirit of the Kek Chi Mayan inhabitants.
In order to provide quality service in such a remote part of the world, we opened a lodge, named it "Oasis Chiyú" and called it "home". Through the years, we have been supporting and building friendships in the communities, constructing, planting, as well as, hosting many wonderful people.
